Course at a Glance

Engineering Applications focuses on a new and unique engineering projects each session— meaning students can sign up for both! Students will learn a variety of skills from professionals in the field and student leaders, including:

  • Using hand and power tools (ex. blah blah)

  • Using machine tools (ex. blah blah)

  • Mechanical assembly (ex. blah blah)

  • Troubleshooting and iterative improvement

  • Collaboration and team communication

Prerequisites

To ensure all students are safe in the shop space, all Engineering Applications students are required to take the 2.5 hour Summer Safety Training course. This year, Summer Safety Training takes place at the warehouse on Saturday 6/21 10am - 12:30pm. Students will learn proper tool usage and emergency procedures, ending the session with a hands-on project.
