Mechanical Engineering Applications
Engineering Applications focuses on developing core engineering projects. Students will develop technical skills using industry-grade machines and tools through practical experience, collaborative problem-solving, and guided mentorship.

Introduction to Java
Introduction to Java is perfect for beginning programmers. Through structured lessons and projects, students will learn the basics of coding, object-oriented programming, and problem-solving techniques from student mentors and industry professionals.

Applied Programming
In Applied Programming, students will learn how to combine their Java foundations with real-world projects as they program various robot subsystems. Students will integrate sensors and actuators, test, tune, and perfect robotics applications.

Computer Aided Design Lab
In Mechanical Design Lab, students will use Computer Aided-Design (CAD) from Autodesk Inventor to work on hands-on projects, and integrate and manufacture robot mechanisms. This introductory program covers 3D modeling, design principles, and digital prototyping.

FTC Project Applications
With the FTC season starting in September, this project-based workshop develops design/ assembly/ programming skills ahead of FTC kickoff. Rising 8th - 12th grade students will develop technical skills through practical application and collaborative problem-solving.

Why TRC Summer Training? It’s free, hands-on, and a great opportunity for anyone interested in developing skills towards engineering or computer science. It’s also an option to try out robotics before committing to the full season!
